Air Fryer Steak

Ingredients:
- Steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, etc.)
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Optional seasonings (garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to the highest temperature setting, typically around 400-450°F (200-230°C). Preheating ensures that the steak cooks evenly.
- While the air fryer is preheating, prepare your steak. Remove it from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes. This helps the steak cook more evenly.
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings. You can also brush it lightly with olive oil to promote browning and add extra flavor.
- Once the air fryer is preheated, place the steak in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space around the steak to allow for proper air circulation.
- Cook the steak at the high temperature for 8-12 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness and the thickness of the steak. Here’s a rough guide for internal temperatures:
- Rare: 120-130°F (49-54°C)
- Medium-rare: 130-135°F (54-57°C)
- Medium: 135-145°F (57-63°C)
- Medium-well: 145-155°F (63-68°C)
- Well-done: 160°F (71°C) or higher
- Halfway through the cooking time, flip the steak to ensure even cooking. You can use a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- Once the steak reaches your desired level of doneness, remove it from the air fryer. It’s a good idea to let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Slice and serve your air-fried steak with your favorite sides.
