Air Fryer Steak

Ingredients:

  1. Steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, etc.)
  2. Olive oil
  3. Salt and pepper
  4. Optional seasonings (garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to the highest temperature setting, typically around 400-450°F (200-230°C). Preheating ensures that the steak cooks evenly.
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, prepare your steak. Remove it from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes. This helps the steak cook more evenly.
  3. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings. You can also brush it lightly with olive oil to promote browning and add extra flavor.
  4. Once the air fryer is preheated, place the steak in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space around the steak to allow for proper air circulation.
  5. Cook the steak at the high temperature for 8-12 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness and the thickness of the steak. Here’s a rough guide for internal temperatures:
    • Rare: 120-130°F (49-54°C)
    • Medium-rare: 130-135°F (54-57°C)
    • Medium: 135-145°F (57-63°C)
    • Medium-well: 145-155°F (63-68°C)
    • Well-done: 160°F (71°C) or higher
  6. Halfway through the cooking time, flip the steak to ensure even cooking. You can use a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  7. Once the steak reaches your desired level of doneness, remove it from the air fryer. It’s a good idea to let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
  8. Slice and serve your air-fried steak with your favorite sides.
