Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  6. Add the cooked spaghetti to the cream cheese mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Spread half of the spaghetti mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  8. Spoon half of the meat sauce over the spaghetti layer. Repeat with remaining spaghetti mixture and meat sauce.
  9. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  10. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
