WW cheeseburger bombs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey or lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough (choose a reduced-fat or lighter version)
  • 4 reduced-fat cheese slices, cut into quarters
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Pickles, mustard, ketchup (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven according to the biscuit dough package instructions.
  2. Cook Ground Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or beef with chopped onions until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Season: Season the cooked meat with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  4. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Flatten each biscuit dough round and place a piece of quartered cheese in the center.
  5. Add Meat Mixture: Spoon a small amount of the seasoned meat mixture over the cheese in the center of each biscuit.
  6. Seal and Shape: Carefully fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the meat and cheese, sealing them to form a ball.
  7. Place on Baking Sheet: Place the prepared Cheeseburger Bombs on a baking sheet, seam side down.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven according to the biscuit dough package instructions or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  9. Garnish: If desired, you can brush the tops of the bombs with a little water and sprinkle sesame seeds for a burger bun appearance.
  10. Serve: Serve the Cheeseburger Bombs warm, optionally with pickles, mustard, and ketchup for dipping.
