Weight Watchers french apple tart.

Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar substitute (like Swerve or monk fruit)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp cold light butter (or WW-friendly margarine)
- 2–3 tbsp cold water
For the filling:
- 3 medium apples (like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), peeled, cored & thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sugar substitute
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp light butter, melted
Optional glaze:
- 1 tbsp sugar-free apricot jam
- 1 tsp warm water
👩🍳 Directions:
- Make the crust:
- In a bowl, mix flour, sweetener, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add water a little at a time, mixing just until dough holds together.
- Press into a disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for 20–30 minutes.
- Prepare the apples:
- Toss sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar substitute, and nutmeg.
- Assemble the tart:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll dough into a thin circle and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet or tart pan.
- Arrange apples in overlapping concentric circles or however you like.
- Brush apples with melted butter.
- Bake:
- Bake 35–40 minutes, until crust is golden and apples are soft.
- Glaze (optional):
- Stir together jam and water, then brush over warm tart for a glossy finish.
