Vegan Ginger Shots Recipe

Ingredients (Makes ~4 shots):
- 1/4 cup fresh ginger root, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1 orange, juiced (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric (or 1/2 inch fresh turmeric root, peeled)
- Pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ginger:
Peel and chop the ginger into small pieces. - Blend the Ingredients:
In a blender, combine the chopped ginger, lemon juice, orange juice (if using), turmeric, black pepper, maple syrup (if desired), and water. Blend until smooth. - Strain the Mixture:
Place a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or measuring cup. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to remove any pulp, pressing with a spoon to extract all the liquid. - Serve:
Pour the liquid into small shot glasses or bottles. - Store:
Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Shake well before consuming.
Tips:
