Vegan Ginger Shots Recipe

Ingredients (Makes ~4 shots):

  • 1/4 cup fresh ginger root, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 1 orange, juiced (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric (or 1/2 inch fresh turmeric root, peeled)
  • Pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ginger:
    Peel and chop the ginger into small pieces.
  2. Blend the Ingredients:
    In a blender, combine the chopped ginger, lemon juice, orange juice (if using), turmeric, black pepper, maple syrup (if desired), and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the Mixture:
    Place a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or measuring cup. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to remove any pulp, pressing with a spoon to extract all the liquid.
  4. Serve:
    Pour the liquid into small shot glasses or bottles.
  5. Store:
    Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Shake well before consuming.

Tips:

  • For a stronger ginger kick, increase the amount of ginger.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for an extra immune-boosting and metabolism-enhancing touch.
