Peanut Buster Parfait

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla ice cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • Hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salted peanuts, chopped
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Maraschino cherry for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Vanilla Ice Cream:
    • If you’re making homemade ice cream, follow your favorite vanilla ice cream recipe or use store-bought vanilla ice cream.
  2. Prepare Hot Fudge Sauce:
    • You can use store-bought hot fudge sauce or make your own. Here’s a simple recipe:
      • Ingredients for Hot Fudge Sauce:
        • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
        • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
        • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
        • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
      • Instructions:
        • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips together.
        • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
        • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the hot fudge sauce to cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Parfait:
    • In serving glasses or bowls, start by adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom.
  4. Add Hot Fudge:
    • Pour a generous amount of hot fudge sauce over the vanilla ice cream.
  5. Sprinkle with Peanuts:
    • Sprinkle a layer of chopped salted peanuts over the hot fudge.
  6. Repeat Layers:
