No bake apple pie

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

For the Filling:

  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced (use a sweet variety like Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Topping:

  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions:

For the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish, forming an even crust. You can use the back of a spoon or your hands to pack it down.
  3. Place the crust in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the filling.

For the Filling:

  1. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are well coated.
  2. Arrange the apple mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.

To Assemble:

  1. Refrigerate the no-bake apple pie for at least 2 hours or until it’s set.
  2. Before serving, you can add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
  3. Slice and enjoy your delicious no-bake apple pie!
