My Famous Homemade Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef or lamb

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup frozen peas and carrots

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup beef broth

3 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet, cook meat with onion and garlic until browned.

Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, broth, and vegetables; simmer for 5 minutes.

Spread meat mixture in a baking dish, then top with mashed potatoes.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

Let cool slightly before serving.
