Keto Sheet Pan Pizza I
Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the toppings:
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (low-carb or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, onions, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the dough:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese together. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- Once melted, add the almond flour, egg, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well until a dough forms. If it’s too sticky, you can wet your hands to help knead it.
- Shape the crust:
- Transfer the dough onto the prepared sheet pan. Use your hands or a rolling pin to spread it out into an even layer, shaping it into a rectangle or square.
- Bake the crust:
- Place the crust in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
- Add toppings:
- Once the crust is baked, remove it from the oven. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then add your choice of toppings.
- Final bake:
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve: Slice and enjoy your keto-friendly pizza!
Tips:
- You can customize the toppings to suit your preferences or whatever you have on hand.
- If you want a crispier crust, you can bake it for a few extra minutes before adding the toppings.
