Keto French fries
Ingredients:
- 2 medium zucchinis (or 1 large potato substitute like turnip or radish for more “fries” texture)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the zucchini: Wash the zucchinis and cut off the ends. Slice them into fry-shaped strips about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. (If you’re using turnips or radishes, you can follow the same process.)
- Season the fries: In a large bowl, toss the zucchini slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure each slice is evenly coated.
- Arrange on a baking sheet: Place the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden and crispy on the edges.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with your favorite keto-friendly dipping sauce like a creamy garlic dip or sugar-free ketchup.
