Butter Toffee
2 sticks butter
1/4 tsp salt
3 T water
Butter the inside of a tall microwave safe dish I use a 8c glass measuring cup
Cook 8 1/2 min in microwave ( based on 1000 watt ) I cooked mine 9 to 9 1/2 min very carefully take out of microwave add 1/2 tsp of vanilla and stir one thing I noticed is not all the butter will incorporate….have a cookie sheet with either a silicone mat or buttered well I sprinkle some chopped pecans on the pan then pour mixture on top of pecans smooth it out sprinkle 1 cup of dark chocolate chips let sit a couple minutes then spread them out then sprinkle a few more chopped pecans on top let it cool completely then break in pieces and store in a air tight container. For a little twist you can also put a little flake salt on top if you want.
