Hash Brown Chicken Casserole

Ingredients:-

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 package (30 ounces) frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional, for topping)

Instructions:-

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, milk, melted butter, chopped onion, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Optional Topping: If using, mix the crushed cornflakes with the 2 tablespoons of melted butter in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
