HAMBURGER MUSHROOM BAKE

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add onions, garlic, and mushrooms: To the skillet, add the diced onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms. Cook until the onions are translucent and mushrooms are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Make the sauce: Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Combine with sour cream: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  6. Transfer to baking dish: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
