Crispy Air fryer potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes (russet or Yukon Gold work well)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Optional seasonings (such as paprika, garlic powder, rosemary, or thyme)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes (if desired). Cut them into even-sized pieces, like wedges, cubes, or rounds, for even cooking.
  2. Place the potato pieces in a bowl and drizzle with a small amount of olive oil. You want just enough to coat the potatoes lightly, so they crisp up in the air fryer. Toss the potatoes to ensure they’re evenly coated.
  3. Season the potatoes with salt and any other desired seasonings. Popular choices include paprika, garlic powder, rosemary, or thyme. Toss the potatoes again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to around 375-400°F (190-200°C).
  5. Place the seasoned potato pieces in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are in a single layer and not crowded to ensure even cooking. You may need to cook them in batches if you have a lot of potatoes.
  6. Cook the potatoes in the air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, shaking or flipping them halfway through to ensure even crispiness. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model and the size of the potato pieces.
  7. Check for doneness by poking a fork or toothpick into a potato; they should be tender inside, and the outside should be golden and crispy.
  8. Once the potatoes are cooked to your desired level of crispiness, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.
  9. You can garnish the crispy air fryer potatoes with fresh herbs, such as parsley, and serve them with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, aioli, or ranch dressing….
