Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried oregano. This will be your seasoning mix.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure that they get crispy in the air fryer.
- Brush or rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken thighs, making sure to coat all sides. Use your hands to rub the seasonings in for even coverage.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Make sure they are not overcrowded to allow for proper air circulation.
- Air fry the chicken thighs at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, flip the chicken thighs over, skin side up, and air fry for an additional 12-15 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the chicken thighs and the specific air fryer model, so adjust accordingly.
- Once the chicken thighs are cooked through and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving….
