Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried oregano. This will be your seasoning mix.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure that they get crispy in the air fryer.
  4. Brush or rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, making sure to coat them evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken thighs, making sure to coat all sides. Use your hands to rub the seasonings in for even coverage.
  6. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  7. Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Make sure they are not overcrowded to allow for proper air circulation.
  8. Air fry the chicken thighs at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.
  9. After 15 minutes, flip the chicken thighs over, skin side up, and air fry for an additional 12-15 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and golden brown.
  10. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the chicken thighs and the specific air fryer model, so adjust accordingly.
  11. Once the chicken thighs are cooked through and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving….
