Chicken with Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth (or water) until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir to combine with the chicken.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes, until it thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli.
  7. Once the sauce has thickened and the broccoli is tender but still crisp, remove the skillet from the heat.
  8. Serve the chicken and broccoli hot over cooked rice.
