Best Ever Beef Lombardi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook ground beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess grease.
- Add tomatoes and sauce: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat through.
- Layer the casserole:
- Spread half of the meat mixture in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Spread sour cream over cheese.
- Top with remaining meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
- Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
