Best Ever Beef Lombardi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add tomatoes and sauce: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat through.
  4. Layer the casserole:
    • Spread half of the meat mixture in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
    • Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
    • Spread sour cream over cheese.
    • Top with remaining meat mixture.
    • Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
