Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sausage Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix sausage meat with dried herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Combine well.
  2. Assemble the Sausage Rolls:
    • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface. Cut it into 2 or 3 long strips, depending on the size of sausage rolls you want.
    • Place the sausage mixture along the center of each strip.
    • Fold one side of the pastry over the filling and roll tightly to seal. Pinch the edges or use a fork to crimp them.
  3. Cut and Glaze:
    • Cut the rolled pastry into smaller pieces (about 2-3 inches each).
    • Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
  4. Cook in the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
    • Arrange the sausage rolls in a single layer in the basket, leaving some space between each.
    • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed, and the sausage is cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F/71°C).
  5. Serve:
    • Let the sausage rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or mustard.
