Air Fryer Ribeye Steaks

Ingredients:

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)
1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, rosemary, etc.)
Instructions:

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
While the air fryer is preheating, take your ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes. This helps the steaks cook more evenly.
Rub the steaks with olive oil on both sides. This helps create a crispy exterior. You can also season them with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like. Be generous with the seasoning, as some will fall off during cooking.
Place the ribeye steaks in the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between them to allow for proper air circulation.
Cook the steaks for about 8-12 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks. Here’s a general guideline:
Rare: 8-10 minutes
Medium-Rare: 10-12 minutes
Medium: 12-14 minutes
Medium-Well: 14-16 minutes
Keep in mind that cooking times may vary depending on your specific air fryer and the thickness of the steaks. It’s essential to use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, aim for around 130°F (54°C) for the center of the steak.

About halfway through the cooking time, flip the steaks using tongs. This will help ensure even cooking on both sides.
After the steaks have reached your desired level of doneness, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes on a cutting board. Resting allows the juices to redistribute within the meat and makes for a more flavorful and tender steak.
Slice and serve your air-fried ribeye steaks, and enjoy!
