air fryer Potato Chips

Ingredients:

1-2 large potatoes (russet or Yukon Gold work well) 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil or cooking spray Salt and seasoning (optional) Instructions:

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. You can leave the skin on if you prefer. Make sure they are thoroughly dry.
  2. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the potatoes into thin, even slices. The thickness is a matter of personal preference, but a thickness of around 1/8 inch (3 mm) works well.
  3. Place the potato slices in a large bowl and toss them with olive oil, making sure each slice is lightly coated. You can use a brush or cooking spray to apply the oil evenly.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 360-375°F (180-190°C). The cooking temperature may vary depending on your air fryer model, so consult your appliance’s manual for guidance.
  5. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping to ensure even cooking. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small.
  6. Cook the potato slices for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning, as the cooking time can vary based on the thickness of your slices and the specific air fryer model.
  7. Once the potato chips are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Sprinkle them with salt and any desired seasonings while they are still warm. You can use paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, or any other seasoning of your choice.
  8. Allow the chips to cool for a few minutes before serving. They will become even crispier as they cool down.
  9. Enjoy your homemade air fryer potato chips as a tasty snack or side dish!..
