air fryer parmesan crusted pork chops

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Breading: In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix them together to create your breading mixture.
  3. Beat the Eggs: In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  4. Coat the Pork Chops: Dip each pork chop into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, and then coat it with the breading mixture. Press the mixture onto the pork chop to ensure it sticks well. Repeat for all the chops.
  5. Prep the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Cook the Pork Chops: Place the breaded pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Make sure they are not touching to allow for even cooking.
  7. Air Fry: Air fry the pork chops at 400°F (200°C) for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops and your air fryer model. Pork should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
  8. Serve: Once the pork chops are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish: You can garnish the pork chops with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley or grated Parmesan before serving for an extra burst of flavor.
