Air Fryer Maple Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for a gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray or a light brush of oil for the air fryer basket

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, and salt. This will be your maple glaze.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour about half of the maple glaze over them. Reserve the other half for later use. Make sure the salmon is well coated with the glaze. Marinate for 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a brush of oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the marinated salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each fillet for proper air circulation.
  6. Air fry the salmon for about 10-12 minutes at 375°F (190°C), depending on the thickness of the fillets. Check for doneness by using a fork to gently flake the salmon. The salmon should easily flake and appear opaque when done.
  7. During the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, brush the reserved maple glaze over the salmon fillets, allowing it to caramelize and create a flavorful glaze.
  8. Once the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness and has a beautiful glaze, carefully remove it from the air fryer.
  9. Serve your Air Fryer Maple Glazed Salmon hot, garnished with fresh herbs or sesame seeds, and your favorite side dishes like steamed vegetables or rice.
