Air Fryer Chicken Breast
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil (or cooking spray)
- Seasonings of your choice (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, herbs, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for preheating, but typically, it’s around 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the chicken breasts:
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Brush the chicken breasts with a little olive oil or use cooking spray to lightly coat them. This will help the chicken get crispy.
- Season the chicken breasts with your choice of seasonings. A simple combination of salt, pepper, and paprika is a good starting point.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket: Put the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure there is some space between them for proper air circulation.
- Air fry the chicken:
- Cook the chicken breasts in the preheated air fryer for about 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through. The exact time may vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts and your specific air fryer model.
- Chicken is safe to eat when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. If the chicken hasn’t reached this temperature, cook it for a few more minutes.
- Rest and serve:
- Once the chicken reaches the desired temperature and has a crispy, golden exterior, remove it from the air fryer.
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes to retain its juices before slicing or serving.
