Air fryer baked potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2–4 medium-sized russet potatoes
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Potatoes:
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes to remove dirt. Pat them dry with a towel.
    • Using a fork, poke several holes all over each potato to allow steam to escape.
  2. Season:
    • Rub each potato with olive oil, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
    • Sprinkle salt (and pepper if desired) all over the potatoes for seasoning.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  4. Cook:
    • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching for even air circulation.
    • Cook for 35–45 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through. (Cooking time depends on the size of the potatoes—pierce with a fork to check doneness.)
  5. Finish:
    • Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer. Let them rest for 2–3 minutes.
    • Slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and top with your favorite toppings!

Topping Ideas

  • Classic: Butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions.
  • Loaded: Crumbled bacon, cheddar, chives, and ranch dressing.
  • Healthy: Greek yogurt, steamed broccoli, and a sprinkle of paprika.
