Cheese-Stuffed Potato Bombs

π§ Ingredients:
- 3β4 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or a mix)
- 1/2 cup boiled sweet corn or chopped veggies (optional)
- 1 green chili (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander (cilantro)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)
- Oil for deep frying
π§ Filling Options (choose one or mix):
- Cheese cubes or shredded cheese
- Spiced paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
- Cooked spiced chicken mince
- JalapeΓ±os + cheese for spicy bombs
π©βπ³ Instructions:
- Prepare Potato Mixture:
- In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, garlic paste, chili flakes, chopped green chili, black pepper, salt, and coriander.
- Mix until smooth. Set aside.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In another bowl, mix cheese with optional veggies or spices.
- You can pre-cook spicy fillings (like minced meat or spiced paneer).
- Form the Bombs:
- Take a small amount of potato mixture and flatten it in your palm.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center.
- Seal and roll it into a ball. Repeat.
- Coat the Bombs:
- Roll each ball in all-purpose flour (lightly dusted).
- Dip in water or a flour-water slurry.
- Then coat in breadcrumbs.
- Fry Until Golden:
- Heat oil on medium flame.
- Deep fry bombs until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with ketchup, spicy mayo, or garlic dip.
