Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
    • Gently fold in the crab meat and 1/2 cup of panko breadcrumbs. Mix until just combined to avoid breaking the crab meat too much.
  2. Form Crab Cakes:
    • Shape the mixture into 8 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
    • Coat the outside of each patty with the remaining 1/2 cup of panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cook the Crab Cakes:
    • Lightly spray the crab cakes with cooking spray or oil on both sides.
    • Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches).
    • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve hot with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or your favorite dipping sauce.
