Keto Garlic Parmesan Knots

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese.
    • Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Repeat until the mixture is smooth and combined (about 1-2 minutes total).
    • In a separate bowl, mix the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
    • Add the egg to the cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cheese mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Shape the Knots:
    • Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
    • Roll each piece into a long rope (about 6-8 inches long) and tie it into a knot.
    • Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
    • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the knots, making sure to coat them well.
  5. Add Parmesan:
    • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the knots.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
    • Serve warm and enjoy!

Tips

  • You can serve these knots with marinara sauce for dipping if you like.
  • Feel free to adjust the garlic and cheese to your taste!
